Animal Life
Estuaries are very important to the livlihood of many species.
Estuaries can support a large variety of birds, which include geese, Great Egrets, Blue Herons, and Black-tailed Godwits, who all eat fish in estuaries.

River Otter (above), Salmon (below)
Estuaries support an abundant amount of fish, just a few of them being salmon, carp and sea trout. Fish in estuaries normally eat small invertebrates, and are usually eaten by birds or small mammals. Mammals in estuaries include river otters and harbor seals, which as stated before, eat fish. Other animals that populate estuaries include different types of worms, oysters, crabs, turtles, and even sea horses.
